The Stephen Spender Trust (registered charity number 1101304) has no endowment or regular funding source and and relies on grants and donations to fund its projects and core costs. Our activities are made possible thanks to the generosity of organisations and individuals who believe in what we do.
If you would like to make a one-off donation to the Trust or want to support our activities by means of a regular monthly or annual payment, please visit our page at CAF Donate. The Stephen Spender Trust is recognised by HMRC as a registered charity. If you are a UK taxpayer, CAF (the Charities Aid Foundation) will give you the option of allowing us to claim Gift Aid on your donation.
Thank you! We are enormously grateful for your support. Any gift, however small, makes a difference.
We work with a network of talented translators, poets and educators for both our creative translation education programmes and our prize for poetry in translation. If you would like to collaborate or get involved, please get in touch.
We are currently inviting translators and multilingual writers based in the North of England and in Norfolk to apply for our brand new creative translation training, Multilingual Creators. This is a partnership between SST, the National Centre for Writing, New Writing North and Comma Press, co-funded by Arts Council England and Greater Manchester Combined Authority. In this first year we will train translators and writers from three regions in England to design and deliver creative translation activities in schools. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on 15 May 2021, and more information on how to apply can be found here.
